I was just thinking 20-80 and 20-40mm!!!! Those are such weird ranges for APS-c, Not wide and not portrait, sort of nowhere!! Nobody is gong to buy them unless they are still shooting film on a FF! Pentax are such idio..... did I just say FF!!! A warm fuzzy feeling swept over me as I calculated 20-80mm wide to portrait and 20-40mm wide to standard. Too much magnification for a compact binocular . I bought these 10x26 and a pair of 8x22 Safari Pro binoculars for comparison and ended up returning the 10x26's. The clarity on both is great, but the amount of shake at 10x with a pair of compact binoculars is too much! The 8x model appears sharper and noticeably easier to follow objects, and they're smaller and normally a little less expensive too. For as long as I could remember, there was this cable on display that I never found a need for. It was some flash extension cord. I never minded it, as I was looking at the lenses available for my camera. Well, recently I just got my Metz 48 AF-1 flashgun, and was disappointed that I would have to shoot with the flash only on the hotshoe, as it had no optical slave mode and my K100D did not support wireless P-TTL. I saw someone with an ironically out of date 60s style camera with large flash near Shaftesbury Avenue last week. He was also dressed up in 60s chic ultra twat fancy dress with matching haircut. It was painful looking at him being so desperately alternative and retro. He must have got on the wrong bus in Camden.

For those that don’t know, Camden is where people that have rejected the mainstream in favour of an alternative yet equally trite mainstream come from.

I’m actually genuinely jealous of you with your thornproof Harris Tweed, no joke. I have a Crombie tweed jacket that I inherited from my grandfather but it doesn’t fit too well these days. It’s quite possibly thornproof too, seeinga s he was a farmer, but I’ve not tested the theory.

If I was to try Mike's one lens and camera for a year it would be the K-5 and the 35mm. I would say that 80% of my pictures from the Pentax were with the 35mm. It—the Pentax version—was one of two lenses I took to France for our 30-day stay, along with a 17–135mm zoom. Certainly one of the two most impressive designed-for-digital lenses I've used (the other is the Olympus 50mm macro) and better both technically and aesthetically than the Canon 35/2, which itself is no slouch. It's one of the best lenses you can buy for digital photography, regardless of maker, regardless of price. I snapped up the 35 f/2. 8 DA Macro for my 20D. When Carl and Mike first wrote about it I was in the process of changing from Canons to Pentaxes. It was so good that I kept my T2i because it weighs so little and got the Tokina version for it. Half of the cameras sold in Spain are less than 100 Euros and 70% of the total is lower than 150 Euros. These data show that the number of people who acquires an advanced camera is less than half a million annually, although the turnover is high. 3 million units, similar to last year, but with increased demand for interchangeable lens and compact cameras. Canon’s marketing director, Julian Garcia, revealed that one gets more accurate picture quality with a good lens and a powerful processor. All models, almost without an exception, have improved performance and reduced their cost, so one can acquire more image quality for less money.
