Sony NEX-7 kit finally available next month in the UK

Pocket-lint is reporting that Sony's long-awaited and long-delayed NEX-7 will finally be available in the UK by the end of next month in kit form, going for £1,129.99 with a black version of the 18-55mm lens to match the body. The 24-megapixel APS-C mirrorless camera with an OLED viewfinder was previously available in body-only form for £999.99. If you're springing that much for a camera, though, you may want to go all-out for the perfect partner — and the £839.99 Carl Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 lens would be happy to oblige. As for the US, while a small number of pre-orders have shipped to the lucky few, supply still remains constrained. We've reached out to Sony regarding stateside availability, but the company told us at CES to expect a rollout very soon.

Sony MHS-PM5 bloggie HD Video Camera (Violet) Review | Best ...

Having said that I think the image quality is VERY good for its size. One huge advantage over Flip/etc... is the swiveling lens. This was the main attraction for me. I'm always embarassed waving a big camera in public. Just don't like when people stare at me for filming something. This is why Sony bloggie is a great product. You can turn the lens to an angle you like and hold the device like your cellphone. People will actually think you are just playing with your phone.

My enjoyment of the outdoors has allowed me to capture images of golf courses, flowers, wildlife, farming and outdoor scenes. The lenses used were Nikon 18-105mm, Nikon. I continue to improve my photography skills and have enjoyed every minute taking these images. I used the Zeikos extension tubes on these. I used a wide range of equipment to get these close up. images of the bottles and it all started with the D90 on the Slik 500DK tripod. I am an aspiring amateur photography that enjoys capturing those once in a lifetime moments forever. in RAW mode and using f6. 3 to f16 in aperture priority mode. lenses to fill the frame with the bottle or Absolut logo itself. Olympus VR-320 test, VGA (640x480) quality. The only bad feature is that it allows only digital zoom while filming. 30 frames per second.

Can I use the battery from my old camera in my new camera?

After an accident in which my Fujifilm J 100 camera was damaged beyond repair, I replaced it with an Olympus VR 320, (both compact digital).

As long as both are the same size and shape and the voltage is the same, you don't need to worry about the mAh rating. In fact a higher rating is a good thing. It just means that the battery will last a little longer between charges.

The Start Of An Obsession

  I sold it when I bought my first digital SLR. It was my first SLR.   Many I converted to digital and have  posted on my web site.   Pretty advanced for its day, the camera had through the lens metering. Turned out my sister in law had it.   I had given the camera and the Rokkor lenses to her years ago when we moved to North Carolina.   I replaced it with a Nikon FM I bought in a Richmond, Virginia pawn shot.   Several months ago, I found I missed film so bought a refurbished Nikon F100.   My wife gave it to me for Christmas way back in the early 70′s when we started going together.   I carried it with me on news assignments throughout the 70′s and into the 80′s when the shutter finally gave up the ghost.   She brought it over yesterday along with the lenses....

Besides never capitalising on the digital-camera tech it helped create, Kodak also gravely misunderstood the new ways consumers wanted to interact with their photos, the technologies involved, and the market forces surrounding them. Now that it's completely struck out, it bears reflecting on how deeply Kodak misunderstood consumer photography today, and the digital and social forces transforming it:. In the past 15 years, digital technology changed photography dramatically, and Kodak, a former heavyweight in the analog film business, got left behind. In fact, Kodak missed the boat on digital not once, but at least three times. The truth is that by the time Kodak had both feet fully in the digital game, it had been outclassed by more nimble competitors with better products. Kodak has finally formalised what had been expected for years - it's gone bankrupt. And whenever Kodak took a shot at standing out, it was a swing and a miss.
